Investment: $35 early, $40 late
It’s Friday night. Your pencils are sharpened, your calculator is packed. You’ve done all your test prep, but with all the nerves and doubt swirling through your head, somehow, you still don’t feel even remotely prepared. Cramming now will only make it worse – you need to chill out and get yourself mentally prepared to walk into that room in the morning.
In this workshop, Hilary Jackendoff, meditation teacher and anxiety specialist, and Josh Eckhaus, a test prep expert, will help you make the most of the final hours before all the bubbling begins. There will be no talk of commas or right triangles – instead of teaching you new material, The Night Before is designed to put you in the best mindset to use what you’ve already learned. We’ll explore the compelling scientific research and learn the techniques – used by sports psychologists and ancient eastern yogis – that will literally slow your pulse, focus your mind, help you get a good night’s sleep, and once the test begins, keep you from getting in your own way.
Hilary spent the last 10 years traveling the world and training in various meditation modalities. She teaches meditation and Yoga Nidra full time in Los Angeles. Josh is a test-prep and college admissions expert. He has been helping LA high school students get into college since 2003.
Introductory level. Open to teens in Pacific Palisades, Brentwood, Santa Monica, Malibu & beyond.
