Meditation Teacher Training

Deepen your practice. Share your passion. Change lives.

In this 50 hour Foundations Training, you’ll gain technical skills and receive teachings to support you in transforming your passion for meditation into meaningful work.

Learn to Teach Meditation

Teaching meditation is MUCH more than speaking in a soothing tone of voice, telling people to relax and focus on their breath.

Teaching meditation is a privilege and a responsibility - and a skill that is best developed with training and proper guidance. As a meditation teacher, you are effectively guiding people into a deeper relationship with their bodies, thoughts, and emotions - and introducing them to their subconscious mind. You’re guiding people into states of consciousness they may never have experienced before. Proper training is essential.

Upon completing this Teacher Training, you’ll be trained to offer accessible, beginner’s meditation practices, and feel more confident leading classes, workshops and working with private clients. You’ll learn about the business of teaching meditation, including how to record meditations, work with clients, find your authentic voice and build your practice, and receive a curated collection of resources.

  • Absolutely. I have run 4 Teacher Trainings over Zoom since March of 2020, and they’ve been fantastic. I promise I will keep you engaged. 😊 If you haven’t practiced with me, I have a pretty dynamic teaching style!

I also make use of slide decks, breakout rooms, and encourage plenty of lively discussion and interaction, so we can really build a connected community and get to know each other.

Honestly, I’ve found that a Meditation or a Yoga Nidra TT is actually better virtually – and I know that’s quite a claim to make. But I think you will find that each day in training feels like a mini-retreat.

  • Yes.

In the time leading up to the training, please create space in your life for a regular meditation practice, if you don’t already have one. Ideally practicing daily, if possible.

After your practice, I recommend spending a few minutes journaling, free-writing or consciously reflecting on what came up during your practice, and the quality of your awareness.

Additionally, if you have the time and you want to dive in, feel free to get started reading Sally Kempton’s Meditation for the Love of It.

I offer a limited number of partial scholarships, with priority given to BIPOC yoga teachers. Please email me and we can discuss!

What People Are Saying

I trained with Hilary in The DEN Meditation’s 400-Hour Meditation Teacher training and I’ve practiced with her at The DEN Meditation and via the Insight Timer app. I highly recommend her accessible and modern approach to self-transformation. Hilary is a very systematic, insightful & encouraging teacher, a caring soul with a playful sense of humor!  As a teacher, Hilary inspires me and as a practitioner, Hilary’s approach helped me alleviate insomnia and reduce stress through consistent practice of Yoga Nidra AND deepen my meditation practice, increasing my overall wellness.

— Wendy Caldwell

I trained with Hilary through the Teacher Training at The DEN Meditation and I was really lucky to have her as my teacher. Her warmth, generosity and passion are really inspiring. The material was very serious, but she made it such a joy to learn it with her and her wonderful giggles. Her knowledge and love for meditation are immense and she shares them through her teachings. She is my inspiration. With gratitude and love, thank you!
